Ava Rocha and Samita Sinha bring together their voices and performative research in the show Trança, Rio e Voz, which they present at Barbès, in New York, on January 21. Between improvisation, composition, and stage presence, Trança, Rio e Voz weaves together traditions and experimentation, bringing the poetic and performative strength of these two artists into a show that challenges and expands the boundaries of traditional musical performance. Both develop multidisciplinary practices that move across music, performance, and vocal research, treating voice and body as central materials of creation. Their work explores sensory, physical, spiritual, political, and poetic states, blending gesture, sound, breath, and stage presence into practices that expand the limits of the concert form and transform music into a living experience, ritual, and territory of invention. $20 6pm
