Phil 'Swill' Odgers & Bobby Valentino From The Men They Couldn't Hang PHIL ODGERS Founder member and vocal strike force of the inimitable The Men They Couldn’t Hang, Phil “Swill” Odgers is a well-loved and prolific solo artist in his own right. Audiences around the world from Cairo to Reykjavik, Brisbane to Tokyo, and Berlin to London have succumbed to his effervescent and heartfelt vocal style. A fine acoustic guitarist, singer and songwriter, with far-reaching influences ranging from his Scottish/Irish roots, through 50’s/60’s rock ‘n’ roll, punk, folk and country. Phil Odgers is a sorely undervalued national treasure whose solo albums hit high in the Folk and Roots charts both here and in the US. During Covid-lockdown, Odgers was one of the pioneers in weekly regular video broadcasts. Playing live under the banner of ‘SWILL’S SUNDAY SESSION’ he gathered viewers across the globe.
