Gamelan Merdu Kumala: Tari Pari Kali — live event
Please join us for the evening performance of our Sunday gamelan double header, when Arev Markarian and Ted Lamoureux present Tari Pari Kali, which will be performed by Gamelan Merdu Kumala. Kali is the Goddess Mother of destruction and transformation. You cannot supersede her commands without tasting the wrath of her stingray form, Pari. The only way through is to dance with her to the en(trance)ing sounds of the gamelan. Local musicians and dancers will depict this dance between Kali, and her human puppets while warping your sense of time and memory. Note: tickets for each performance can be purchased individually, or a day pass can be purchased to view both.
