Featuring Jimmy James on guitar, Tim Carman on drums, and Adam Scone on organ, the group crafts tightly arranged, song-forward instrumentals rooted in blues, funk, and R&B traditions. Since emerging on Colemine Records with their debut album In Green / We Dream in 2024, followed by their 2026 follow-up Emeralds, Parlor Greens has quickly earned a reputation as one of the most exciting and in-demand heavy instrumental projects of the era. Their records and live shows nod to the feel of Jack McDuff, John Patton, Grant Green, and the Meters without ever slipping into imitation, instead highlighting the trio’s instant chemistry, deep-pocket grooves, and collective experience on the international stage. Parlor Greens has performed at such esteemed festivals as Newport Jazz Festival, New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, Fuji Rock, Telluride Jazz Festival, High Sierra Music Festival, Portland Jazz Festival, Aspen Jazz Festival, Jam Cruise, and Hulaween, as well as headlining shows across the US, Europe, the UK, and Japan since the release of their debut album. -----------------------------------------About The SermonWebsite | Facebook | Instagram The Sermon! is a Philadelphia-area Hammond organ-driven Soul Jazz quartet celebrating more than 20 years together. Originally formed as the backing band for legendary organist Papa John DeFrancesco, the group continued after his move to Arizona with organist James McLaughlin, developing its own signature blend of deep-groove soul jazz, funk, and blues. The band has released four recordings and has shared the stage with Booker T. Jones, Karl Denson, The New Mastersounds, The Monophonics, Jon Cleary, and members of Galactic. Festival and venue highlights include the Philadelphia Jazz Festival, Clifford Brown Jazz Festival, Longwood Gardens, World Cafe Live, Ardmore Music Hall, and The Queen in Wilmington, Delaware.Inspired by the classic Blue Note sound, The Sermon! delivers original music rooted in the tradition of Jimmy Smith and Grant Green while bringing its own modern energy to every stage.-----------------------------------------
