Fox Indigo — live event
Fox Indigo is a queer Brooklyn-based indie-rock artist with a passion for the DIY community. Her music embodies the hope, sadness, and the frenetic energy of NYC. Influenced by artists like Regina Spektor, Fleet Foxes, Sufjan Stevens, Beethoven, the Beach Boys, and Thelonious Monk, her music is an amalgamation of various musical styles and genres, including jazz, classical, folk, and rock. As a classically trained musician, her piano-driven songs are heavily inspired by classical harmonies and arrangements, but also by her musical background playing in jazz ensembles. Tired of the lack of community in NYC's music scene, Fox Indigo has redirected her efforts to reviving the DIY scene. She believes strongly in the importance of creating your own experiences, free from the red tape and corporate influence. She founded Get Carried Away Collective as a means to unite artists and DIY spaces.
