Having formed in 1985, Galahad have been constant stalwarts of the UK and international ‘Prog’ scene. Over the years they have played hundreds of shows all over the UK, Europe and America releasing twelve studio albums, three rarity albums and numerous live albums/DVD’s/EPs along the way as well as releasing albums by offshoot projects the Galahad Electric Company and the Galahad Acoustic Quintet. In 1991 the band won the BBC Radio One Rock War competition on Tommy Vance’s legendary ‘Friday Rock Show’ with the highest number of votes ever by any band which culminated in a rather special recording session at the famous BBC Maida Vale Studios which was broadcast on the Friday Rock show along with an interview with Tommy Vance himself. In 2007 the band’s album ‘Empires Never Last’ was voted album of the year by the members of the ‘Classic Rock Society’.
