At +1 Records, we pride ourselves on building a community of artists that are pushing the boundaries of the independent music scene. We are excited to welcome these bands who inhabit the bubbling re-emergence of rock & roll here in NYC. TELESCREENS Telescreens -- a New York-based rock band consisting of Vocals & Guitar Jackson Hamm, Bass Austin Brenner, Keyboard & Synths Josiah Valerius, & Drummer Oliver Graf. Their debut album "The Return" propelled them into the city's music scene. With over 50 shows, including sold-out performances at Irving Plaza, Mercury Lounge, Baby’s All Right, and more, Telescreens have proven their prowess on stage. They have garnered press features in V Magazine, Lyrical Lemonade, BFA, and others. Featuring stellar singles “Phone Booth,” Lost,” and “Games,” Telescreens’ August 2023 “Stare Wide” EP pushes their musical boundaries. This dynamic band invites listeners on a cathartic journey through their anthems of liberation, leaving a lasting impact with their electrifying live performances. Telescreens are poised to make their mark on the global stage, crafting immersive sonic landscapes that embody the essence of rock 'n' roll. CAB ELLIS One hundred and fifty New York twenty-somethings of all shapes and sizes are packed like sardines into the ground floor of a 2-story apartment building on the Brooklyn/ Queens border. It's already past midnight, but the crowd stands their ground diligently in anticipation. Outside it’s frigid, but inside everyone is shedding layers and stashing coats in corners. They are inside the home of Cab Ellis, an electrifying Alternative Rock band consisting of 8 members including three guitars, a section of horns, and a lead vocalist who will, in just a few minutes, capture the crowd with his intensely and feverishly passionate performance. Before the crowd knows it, Cab Ellis rumbles down the stairs all at once, takes the living room stage, and performs an hour of frantic rock music to a mosh pit of the sweaty and ecstatic fans they have built in New York City. As the hundreds of sneakers and boots pound the linoleum floor to the beat, Cab Ellis plays songs from their recently released sophomore record, The East Coast Hold On, recorded with Strokes producer Gordon Raphael. They also play a selection of favorites from their debut album, Nighttime OCD, which was recorded and released in Los Angeles in 2020. In 2023, Cab Ellis completed their first national headlining tour, and are now writing and recording their third studio album. THE CAVE The Cave is the solo project and live band helmed by Julian Lamadrid, a New York based Mexican musician and filmmaker. Part Daft Punk, part Pink Floyd, the music dares to venture into the unknown, blending rock and electronic elements in an innovative way. The live show explodes as a non-stop dance party, fueled by raw energy and passion, with guitarist Jackson Hamm (Telescreens) and bassist Sid Simmons.
