Haverford FIRST FEST Music Festival — live event
DEBRA DEVI blends blues-rock, jam and Americana into a potent blend flavored with her soulful voice and masterful guitar playing. Gov't Mule bassist Jorgen Carlsson joined Devi for A Zillion Stars Overhead, "a collection of dreamy rockers and blistering psychedelic jams" (Relix) mixed by Sylvia Massy that Americana Highways calls “exciting and mesmerizing.” Devi's growing acclaim as "one of the most remarkable guitarists on the East Coast." (Good Times) has led to opening slots for roots artists like Ana Popovic, Devon Allman, Joan Osborne and Marshall Crenshaw, and festival dates from Memphis to Montana. Live, Devi leads "a fierce guitar-driven band equally adept at soulful rockers and sprawling jams" (NY Music Daily), with Kevin Jones on bass, Martin Schmid on keys and John Roccesano on drums.
