Eric McEntee — live event

Songwriter/Filmmaker Eric McEntee is a modern Troubadour, a native Californian whose timeless sound has grown from a path that included years of busking, writing and recording live-to-tape around Los Angeles, Paris and NYC. McEntee is a soul of the open road and his songs evoke this sense of wanderlust, carrying on in the American roots music tradition by blending diverse influences of folk, country soul and jazz. His current EP ’New Moons’ which was previewed on LA’s KCRW is a lush and timeless listen. Each of the EP’s 4 tracks adds tonality to weave the uncanny impression of a stunning 1970’s Folk debut unearthed in 2025. Throughout the EP, McEntee’s distinctly Californian/Soulful Folk compositions, lived-in vocal, deft songwriting and production echo with ease and aplomb some of the most cherished names in the world of 60’s/ 70’s Folk à la Cat Stevens, Nilsson, Rodriguez, Nick Drake and a type of troubadour-ing country carried on from the likes of The Byrds, and Townes Van Zandt.
