DANA LYN - in residence Saturdays in November — live event
Composer-violinist Dana Lyn inhabits a musical world somewhere in the Venn diagram of 70’s art rock, classical, traditional Irish and improvised music. She has written music for Brooklyn Rider, Palaver Strings, A Far Cry and the National Orchestra of Washington and performs regularly with Taylor Mac, Stew, Hank Roberts, actor Vincent D'Onofrio and guitarist Kyle Sanna. Dana has performed at Barbès in a variety of contexts, including her group Mother Octopus, the string trio We the Gleaners as well as a monthly residency with guitarist Kyle Sanna. She will be in residence every Saturday in November at Barbès with different guests every week.
