Antonio Sánchez is one of New York’s foremost drummers and bandleaders, and a masterful orchestrator of all manner of jazz-rooted musical fusions. A four-time Grammy winner and three-time Modern Drummer Jazz Drummer of the Year, Sánchez has worked extensively with Pat Metheny, Chick Corea, Michael Brecker, Gary Burton, and countless others. He also scored and recorded the brilliant, drum-fueled original soundtrack for the 2014 Academy Award–winning Best Picture Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance).
