Acclaimed Alt-Country songwriter, musician and producer Lawrence Rothman's new album, *Here Lies Love / Sawdust Into Stardust*, recorded live in seven days at Nashville's Sound Emporium, captures a raw immediacy that translates powerfully on stage. The project features standout collaborators including Jason Isbell, Madi Diaz, Katie Pruitt, Jillian Jacqueline, and Amanda Shires. In parallel, Rothman continues to produce for artists such as Bartees Strange, Maggie Rose, and Tift Merritt, reinforcing a strong and active presence across multiple Scenes. They will perform solo for this special evening. Rothman is a relentlessly driven artist and producer with over two decades of daily studio work shaping a genre-fluid catalog spanning indie rock, country, punk and jazz. Their deeply resonant baritone and unflinching songwriting, centered on identity, addiction, and love, have built a reputation for emotionally direct, high-impact live performances. Born in St. Louis, MO and now based between Los Angeles and Nashville Rothman was raised in a Catholic family. From a young age, they identified as gender-fluid, wearing makeup and presenting in an androgynous style. From the age of 13, Rothman formed a number of punk, alternative rock and alt country bands and which he toured throughout the United States. Lawrence is known for their genre-bending work, which includes their 2021 album *Good Morning, America* (feat. Lucinda Williams, Amanda Shires, Marissa Nader, Girlpool, etc) as well as their work as a producer and songwriter for artists including Angel Olsen, Margo Price, Amanda Shires, Kali Uchis, Bartees Strange, Courtney Love, Kim Gordon, SASAMI, Soccer Mommy and more. As a producer and songwriter, Lawrence has worked across Pop, Americana and Indie. Some of these artist include Angel Olsen, Bartees Strange, Kali Uchis, Girl In Red, Jason Isbell, Amanda Shires, Margo Price, Lucinda Williams, Cherry Glazzer, The Kills, Soccer Mommy, SASAMI, Brittney Spencer, Kim Gordon, Marissa Nadler, Courtney Love, Charli XCX, The Highwomen, Logan Halstead, MUNA , Bobbie Nelson and more. An avid writer Lawrence’s first novel *Postmortem Bliss* was released in 2007 and turned into a short film for Turner Classics and directed by Floria Sigismondi. The book was based on their life growing up in the 90’s in the suburban midwest struggling with gender identity and addiction in a small conservative town.
