The Grammy Museum is thrilled to present a screening of the documentary THE OPENER with a panel discussion featuring 2x GRAMMY® Award-winning artist Jason Mraz, multi-hyphenate musical artist Philip Labes, and filmmakers Jeff Toye and Sunya Mara about the creative process behind the film. Following the screening and discussion, Jason Mraz and Philip Labes will perform a brief acoustic set. THE OPENER is a feel-great story about a street performer who shared his music online to process the grief and isolation of the pandemic and found that it spoke to millions. When his songs reached the ears of one of his heroes, Grammy-winner Jason Mraz, he was invited on his very first tour and given a chance to prove himself on the big stage.
