fresh blooms presents may payne (first headline show!) + support tbc May Payne is a London-based singer-songwriter making confessional emo-folk. Raised in rural Dorset on a diet of Bob Dylan and Van Morrison, she first built a cult online following as a teenager for her outspoken personality and all-consuming obsession with music. Now London-based, she crafts hyper-vulnerable songs inspired by Big Thief, Joni Mitchell, and My Chemical Romance. After releasing her 2024 EP High Demand and performing these songs accompanied by an orchestra at the Royal Albert Hall, May is now preparing to debut a new project. Recorded in a Welsh cottage turned makeshift studio, these recordings wrap her intricate songwriting in an emotionally-charged, organic live sound.
