One shared dialogue. Solo Piano Dialogues brings together two of the most compelling voices in contemporary Nordic jazz piano. Estonian pianist and composer Kirke Karja and Finnish pianist Tuomo Uusitalo first perform solo sets that reveal their unique artistic identities before meeting in an improvised musical dialogue that can only happen in the moment. Kirke Karja is internationally recognised for her distinctive harmonic language, fearless improvisation and genre-defying musical imagination. Equally at home in contemporary composition, jazz and experimental music, she has collaborated extensively across Europe and has performed both her own music and major concert works, including her Piano Concerto with the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra.
