Allan Nicholls with "Not Your Parents' Pit Band" led by Ben Covello, perform unique and edgy arrangements of the songs that tell his Broadway story. Allan reprises his leading roles in Hair, Inner City Mother Goose, Jesus Christ Superstar, and Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band on the Road, while bringing a fresh approach to the music that rocked a generation (and beyond). “Not Your Parents’ Pit Band,” featuring acclaimed music director Ben Covello on keyboard, Matt DiMaria on various instruments and vocals, Nate Repasz on drums and vocals, Gene Steficek on bass & vocals, and Eitan Prouser on guitar, Allan performs songs from his six years on Broadway – from his first Hair performance in 1969 through the closing night of Sgt. Pepper in 1974. Nicholls is in Broadway’s history books as the only actor to have played both the leading roles in Hair – Claude and Berger. In "Chasing the Thrill," Nicholls shares stories and reimagines songs from his time on the Broadway stage. Audiences will remember a time when their own hair was “shoulder length or longer” and leave with a renewed sense of possibility about life’s “long and winding road.”
