Tracy City is a gang of salty broads revving the engines of garage rock by way of New York City no-wave queercore. Formed by underground film director Katrina del Mar (vocals), with Monica Falcone on guitar vocals, Genny Slag on drums vocals and Liz Velic on bass and Betsy Todd on bass, Tracy City is both a fictional band in a feature film screenplay, possibly created in a car speeding from a funeral in Louisville, and also a very real presence in present day hyper-gentrified New York City. Tracy City is perhaps the only all lesbian band in the world, formed entirely of perimenopausal Riot Grrrls. Think Bush Tetras meet the Pandoras by way of Gary Numan. Power retro-pop.
