From Kerrville Folk Fest main stage and 30A Songwriters Festival to listening rooms throughout the United States, Ben and Kassie have been offering their own brand of raw Americana to audiences large and small. Having been recent winners of the 2022 Rocky Mountain Songwriter Contest at the Red Lodge Songwriter Festival, Goldpine continues to stay true to their vision from the beginning, and stands out while doing so. Presented the “Discovery Award” in 2018 by acclaimed music critic Robert K. Oermann (MusicRow Magazine), the duo's bold harmonies are clearly a channel for their highly charged songwriting. On the fittingly self-titled Natalie Price, she explores complex emotions and experiences through relatable, confessional tales in the singularly authentic manner that has garnered her recognition around Austin as one of the city’s most up-and-coming singer-songwriters. As a songwriter Shawn had his song "Old Cook Pot", recorded by Canadian group The Duhks and reached #2 on the Americana charts. In 2020 Shawn was also awarded grand prize in the American Songwriter Magazine lyric contest with "Love Was Just a Word" a song written for his baby boy Arlo. In 2022 Shawn was asked to play lead guitar in the fictional "Roman Family Band" for Fox's prime time drama "Monarch" starring Trace Adkins and Susan Sarandon. These days Shawn spends most of his time in his studio noodling away writing songs, producing, mixing and composing music for TV and film for companies like HBO, Showtime, Alloy Tracks and Imagine Entertainment.
