Combo Daguerre celebrates Barbès Records 20th anniversary and the release of its debut album "Fracassines". With very special guest and fellow proponent of twisted francophoniac experiments, Glockabelle. Combo Daguerre’s ephemeral and rootless music is a mixture of joy and nostalgia—a hybrid style informed by boleros, cumbia, cha chas, and ’30s surrealism. Experimental art-pop innovator Glockabelle combines Casiotone electronics and the frenetic pinging of a glockenspiel for a unique and anarchically provocative sound that’s equal parts indie and surf rock. France Rocks, founded by Michele Amar, is a collective of curators and culture industry professionals, has been bridging the Atlantic Ocean to NYC with trendy newcomers and up-and-coming musicians for over twenty years.
