Pieta Brown brings her folk ensemble to The Cedar Cultural Center for an intimate evening of live music. The Iowa-born singer-songwriter performs with her full band, joined by special guest Courtney Hartman, whose own folk and Americana work complements Brown's introspective songwriting. Expect two hours of acoustic storytelling rooted in traditional folk sensibilities, with the kind of close attention to lyric and arrangement that defines contemporary folk performance. The Cedar's listening-room setting makes this an ideal venue for the nuanced interplay between these artists.
