Ten tracks absolutely overflowing with wit and emotional wallop take the listener on a journey through a Midwestern South that can only exist in song. And as redneck as it is sophisticated, the biggest triumph of Amy Come On Home is its kindness to its characters. Their new EP Rare Bird (March 2025) is a collection of those notices and observations, attempting to digest the present moment in an attention-demanding world and pinpointing the small details that strike us in large ways. Disaster Kid formed piece by piece in Chicago, each member a transplant hailing from different states. They now all claim home to the city, embedded in its rich and vibrant community of music. Brandon Good is a Chicago artist with a penchant for Country music. Nodding to a wide range of notable genre influences, he brings in rock n’ roll, soul, singer-songwriter, and blues into his songwriting, all while remaining true to the dance hall and honky-tonk heritage he loves.
