Kerry Piaras Ó Lorcáin, from Crossmaglen, County Armagh, is a celebrated traditional singer and multi-instrumentalist who has been performing since childhood. He began singing competitively at age eight and has since won major accolades, including the Corn Sheosamh Uí Éanaigh at Oireachtas na Gaeilge and multiple All-Ireland Fleadh Cheoil trophies in both Irish and English singing. In 2024, Piaras and the group Bláth na hÓige won the RTÉ Radio 1 Folk Award for Best Traditional Folk Track for their rendition of "Seán Gabha" Known for his powerful sean-nós style and deep respect for tradition, Piaras brings a fresh energy to the Irish song tradition, shaped by tutelage from masters like Pádraigín Ní Uall
