Is this the year of Psychedelic Porn Crumpets? 2 Albums? 5 Global Tours? The band relentless in their pursuit of glory. After the release of ‘Carpe Diem, Moonman’, the band’s 7th studio album, back in May & following multiple tours, the Crumpets have just surprise announced album number 8 & another tour of Australia in 2026. The fully-independent 5-piece, led by Jack McEwan have dropped 2 new tunes from the forthcoming record ‘POGO RODEO’. Both ‘Salsa Verde’ & ‘Manny’s Ready To Roll’ have that high octane rock & roll the band are increasingly getting known for. “There’s so many new instruments and vocal effects on Pogo Rodeo. Because I broke my elbow I was down to one arm, I could only really play synth and I’ve never laid keys down on anything” says McEwan. “I had an Omnichord lying around so I plugged that in for the first time and this fresh feeling came over me like I should have had years ago… NOT EVERY SONG NEEDS TO BE SO COMPLICATED!
