Working with, amongst others Harry Sokal, Matthieu Michel, Johannes Enders & Alegre Correa brought him on tour in over 20 nations and awarded him the Hans-Koller-Prize as “Sideman of the Year“. In 2010 he released “Gloaming”, the first album as a bandleader with his group WAYFARERS, and in 2021 a second album “Aeronautics”. The group toured Europe multiple times. In NYC, Kronreif has been working with many artists of different genres such as the Le Boeuf Brothers, Allan Harris, Seamus Blake, Donny McCaslin, John Medeski, Bette Smith, Nick Biello, Remy LeBoeuf, Thana Alexa, TheRealLifeShow, John JR Robinson, Nuf Said and Ray Angry. In a 2021 MacDowell Fellowship, Kronreif deepened his exploring as a producer & songwriter and has released several tracks with his indie rock, one-man, self-produced project CROWNĒ.
