FOUNDED in 2022 - GGM is the anarchic scatterbrained orphan adopted by four New England chumbuckets: crooner/bassist mathHat, guitarist/singer James Hieb, drumbot Phillip Napkins, and guitar hearthrob Luke O’Connell. Coalesced from surf rock exotica and jazz fusion, GGM are archaeologists excavating the dark side of the beach, evoking the cartoonish "anything goes" musical world-building of Black Midi and Frank Zappa, mixed with the ever-burrowing jam instincts of King Gizzard. GGM’s songs are gonzo character studies of the sun-tanned damned, from guilt-ridden Long Island cops to psychedelic trust funders to invisible tech bro asshats. However, even 'songs' may seem to bury the full picture of the Moogly experience, sharing butterfly kisses with absurd vaudeville, performance art, and esoteric stupidity. GGM holds its foundation with a commitment to technical musicianship, ruthless experimentation, and fun at all costs. Much like the Muppets, their theatrical stage presence is a varnish to the coats of politeness and efficiency, leading audiences toward the universe’s truest and dumbest state; chaos.
