“Softly stunning, mesmerising country-tinged indie” Holler Transatlantic singer-songwriter Ilana Zsigmond AKA St Catherine’s Child is one of the rising stars of the Indie-Folk/Americana scene. She was invited into the Recording Academy as one of their ‘Class of 2024”. Having signed to TRO Essex Music and Shamus Records in New York in late 2024, her debut album is This Might Affect You. The album’s songs tell the deeply personal and chronological story of enduring and recovering from the illness and death of her father. The A side chronicles the time leading up to his death, and the B side explores the aftermath of his passing and how she processed it. Zsigmond decided to reach out to others who also had recently experienced loss and ask them to collaborate, and as a result, 10 of the 12 songs on the album are co-written with other songwriters.
