An evening of original music and storytelling by 2024 Woman to Watch on Broadway, Zeniba Now. Zeniba returns to The Public Theater in her debut solo show at Joe’s Pub. She was a residency writer, facilitator, and cohort member of #BARS at The Public Theater, most known for her performance and cowriting of the short “Beloved” which was featured on PBS, and for cowriting and starring in musical-in-progress THE LOOPHOLE in The Public Studio. Joined by longtime collaborator Rodney Bush, audiences can expect a night of lush vocals and mesmerizing melodies from various projects. The Speed of Truth is an open-hearted exercise in the transformative power of the stories we tell. Currently Zeniba is working on musical storytelling including: the new musical TAKE THE LEAD for which she cowrites music & lyrics, opening at Paper Mill Playhouse in 2025; being a Musical Theater Factory Maker exploring artistic sustainability; and developing a new musical with Disney Theatrical Productions.
