   Tippa Irie, otherwise known as Anthony Henry, is a British Jamaican singer, songwriter, MC and DJ. Hailing from Brixton, South London, he first came to prominence in the early 1980s as an MC in the original Saxon Sound International. Tippa first achieved international exposure in the mid-1980s with the hit singles “It’s Good to Have the Feeling You’re the Best” and “Complain Neighbour” before hitting the UK Top 40 with “Hello Darling”. Tippa released his first solo album “Is It Really Happening to Me” in 1986. He has had several hits in the UK and around the world including Raggamuffin Girl featuring Peter Huningale, and Superwoman featuring Winsome. In 2005, Tippa was nominated for a GRAMMY® for Best Rap Song for a tune he wrote with Will.I.Am of the Black Eyed Peas called “Hey Mama” appearing on the BEP album “Elephunk”.
