HO HO HO Lunatics! For the last few years, Tomek Miernowski has shown up at LunÁtico complete with Christmas decorations and an excellent book of groovy Xmas song renditions. This lineup (which sports vocalist Leah Siegel) looks nuts. Why don’t you come catch some holiday spirit with us? Tomek Miernowski ~ Guitar Leah Siegel ~ Vocals Ben Stivers ~ Organ Dan Rieser ~ Drums TOMEK MIERNOWSKI is an artist, musician, and producer, active in NYC for over a decade. He has been the touring guitarist for singer Youn Sun Nah since 2017. He's also collaborated and worked with Son Lux, Joey Dosik, Vulfpeck, Elle King, Diane Birch, and he regularly performs at Hamilton on Broadway. Tomek produced and released Christmas in the winter of 2020: "In the cold, dark, depths of the pandemic's first winter, I was struck by an irrepressible creative itch and thought a Christmas record would be an fun and easy platform for some musical shootaround with some pals after nearly a year of barely playing music with others. I booked a day at a studio and within a week, arranged, recorded, mixed, and mastered the record, got a friend to give me a ride to the first open Christmas tree stand in Brooklyn, shot a cover photo and got the film developed, just in time to release it on Thanksgiving!" December 23rd will be the first live performance of the record, with Dan Rieser on drums, Jon Cowherd on piano, Martin Nevin on bass, along with some very special guests to bring the holiday cheer.
