Contour (Live) — live event
No two Contour performances are identical as he picks and chooses references, reading poetry and altering his songs’ arrangements/samples depending on the occasion. This will also be the first Contour performance with a live band since 2019. Khari Lucas describes himself as a multifaceted artist, musician, score composer, film lover and radio programmer. Contour is the vessel for his musical research, songwriting and production practices. The South Carolina-based artist released Onwards! in October 2022 with UK label Touching Bass to wide acclaim including from Pitchfork and recognition from the likes of Benji B and Erykah Badu. He’s also garnered approval from the fashion world, collaborating with visionary black fashion house, Telfar in addition to brands like Stussy and Patta.
