EVENING TEA w/ Missy Missy is an open-format DJ and creative coder based in Baltimore, MD, where she curates Aurality, a biannual ambient listening event and fundraiser, and Echolocation, a biannual educational dance party series themed around echolocating animals (Dolphin Awareness Month in March, Bat Appreciation Month in October). She began making music with computer code in 2019, focusing on ambient tones and textures. In 2022, she expanded into DJing—often blending her music library with her coded compositions by running her laptop through one channel, and manipulating the code live while mixing. Known for her ambient and wind-down sets, Missy approaches her selections with a refined aural palette, weaving tracks into dreamy, transformative soundscapes. Her sets often draw on elements of nature, nostalgia, cinema, technology, and the underground.
