Adriana Vergara: adriana is a vocalist and songwriter from miami, now based in brooklyn. Drawing from an ancestral lineage of peruvian musicians, adriana’s music reimagines songs from deep-rooted traditions of south american folkloric music and jazz with influences of alternative rock and experimental pop. With lyrics in english and spanish, their songs focus on exploration of the soul, love and political resistance. adriana also performs as vocalist of the queer and trans-centered salsa band and political liberation project, las mariquitas.
