Candide ('Looney Tunes' single launch) + Porchlight + Ali Blue

Candide live at The Victoria, London on Sat, Nov 21, 7:30 PM. Tickets from $9.69. Lineup, start time and tickets on Ckord.

*Short Waves Presents:* **Candide**, the progressive punk trio, erupts as a kind of theatrical fever dream: a shambolic yet exacting northern soul dancer, the mighty boosh of rock. Their debut ‘Rage Ballet’ encapsulates this ethos: garage-guitar fireworks collide with Baroque-esque melodrama; these are the melodies of a boy band exploding at Chernobyl; a sneering punk tantrum dissolving into a strange, tender daydream. In short, Candide is one of London’s most theatrical and original new bands, fusing a rich visual and sonic world with electric stagecraft, making them the perfect act to cut through and wake up the room (or field). **Porchlight** Many months ago, Porchlight took some instruments and a mixing desk to a house in Yeovil and pressed GO. This live show is the product of their efforts. The sound, they hope, is their friendship made aural. **Ali Blue** Ali Blue is a London based artist, fusing raw rock n roll with catchy pop hooks. Along side the high energy performances, the sound is sleek yet fierce and draws from a diverse range of influences creating a timeless ambiance
