Summer on the Hudson: Children's Performance Series

This children’s series features music, storytelling, and theater for young audiences up to age 7. Wear sunscreen! Stroller parking in designated areas only is mandatory. The Children’s Performance Series takes place each Thursday in July. Elena Moon Park is a musician, educator, and producer living in Brooklyn, NY. She is a freelance violinist and multi-instrumentalist in NYC, specializing in contemporary classical and family music, and has performed on stages ranging from Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center to the Southbank Centre and the Melbourne International Arts Festival. She is also co-Artistic Director of the Brooklyn-based arts organization Found Sound Nation, which uses collaborative music creation to connect people across cultural divides. Elena Moon Park and Friends performs music for all-ages audiences across NYC and beyond. The band plays folk and children's music from around the globe, with an emphasis on East Asia, and original songs. Past presenters include Carnegie Kids, Lincoln Center Out of Doors, Lincoln Center Education, The Getty Center LA, Flushing Town Hall, Brooklyn Academy of Music, BRIC Arts, Asia Society NYC and Houston, World Cafe Live, Symphony Space, 92Y, Noguchi Museum, Snug Harbor Cultural Center, Brooklyn Children's Museum, Madison Square Park, and more.
