Although Perla Batalla can be found sharing the stage with such musicians as Nick Cave, Rufus Wainwright and Jackson Browne, it was her early years touring and recording with the celebrated Canadian poet, Leonard Cohen that shaped her as an artist in her own right. Perla Batalla continues to forge her reputation as an essential interpreter of Leonard Cohen’s music with her latest release “A Letter to Leonard Cohen" as well presenting her own original music and stories. The New York Times has described country singer Laura Cantrell’s voice as “sweet, clear and purposeful.” Her 2023 comeback album, Just Like A Rose includes guests Steve Earle, Buddy Miller and Paul Burch among others. The material spans Cantrell's most recent songwriting and songs she's been humming to herself for more than 20 years. Cantrell’s music has been featured multiple times on NPR and the BBC as well as A Prairie Home Companion, The Grand Ole’ Opry and Late Night with Conan O’Brien.
