Pink Contrails is the culmination of a project that has been coming together in the mind of avid 21-year-old multi-instrumentalist, producer, and songwriter Carter Elliott—formerly known as phebreze—for several years in the making. Hailing from Dallas, Carter's music has evolved and grown within the depths of his voice memos and his hard drive, only to see the light of day in the text messages of some of his close friends. However, this has all begun to change—several Pink Contrails songs are designated for release in 2022, each more genre-defying than the last, and each standing alone in their own worlds. 2019’s space-pop effort “Run to You” and smooth-as-butter “Summertime” are merely just a taste of the ultimate vision that Pink Contrails aspires to achieve with his artistry, and are small yet compelling steps in the climb towards something much bigger before the new year is over.
