Jacob and the Dazey Chain / Killjoy / Nicki Harris — live event

Jacob & The Dazey Chain is the vision of Jacob Reese Thornton, a prolific young alt-rock singer, guitarist, and songwriter from South Florida. Thornton, who is now based out of Nashville, is no stranger to the city. “My great grandmother owned a small label and recording studio on Church Street in the late 60’s called Varsity Records. Her daughter, my Great Aunt, made a living in the 70’s playing piano in the venues along Printer’s Alley. I like to think I come by all of this honestly.” Jacob brings a richness and depth to his music that exceeds his years. Jacob & The Dazey Chain is infused with the DNA of early influences like Oasis, The Strokes, Green Day, and R.E.M., among others. The result is an utterly unique blend of Brit-pop and alternative rock. Classic Rock Magazine labeled Jacob “A force to be reckoned with” in their Feb. ’21 issue, and Sirius XM Volume’s Lori Majewski’s noted, “It’s a once in a generational thing…I don’t think we get enough of these”. The Aquarian Weekly most recently quoted, “Jacob & The Dazey Chain represent Tasteful, Artistic Nostalgia. Young taste-maker Jacob Thornton, the talented and prolific rockstar-on-the rise who has one hand reaching toward the 2020’s and the other holding on tightly to the 1970’s.” Jacob & the Dazey Chain's latest single "Shell Game" is a soaring and irresistible rock anthem that glimmers with fresh power-pop sheen. “Shell Game is about charting your own course and being willing to fail in spite of uncertainty and the deception that exists in the modern world. There are always setbacks but you gotta dust yourself off and keep going. I think most people can relate to that.” The song was produced by Mark Needham (The Killers, Lindsey Buckingham) after a chance encounter at the concession stand of a show at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena. On release day, the single's accompanying official music video was chosen as the #1 spot on VEVO's Incoming Alternative editorial playlist. Jacob & The Dazey Chain recorded two songs, “Traces” and “The Sky Is All I Need To Get High” in 2021 with Grammy-nominated artist and producer Bill Reynolds of Band of Horses at his Fleetwood Shack studios in Nashville. Both songs were written and arranged by Jacob, featuring Rami Jaffee (Foo Fighters) on B3 and keyboards and Bill Reynolds on bass. The tracks were mastered by Frank Arkwright at Abbey Road Studios in London. “The Sky Is All I Need to Get High” EP was released September '21 and quickly entered Amazon’s Top 25 best selling, new alternative rock releases. Its accompanying single and title track entered the Top 20 downloads for all AAA + U.S. Rock Specialty radio stations, with extensive airplay on KROQ’s legendary Rodney Bingenheimer SiriusXM show. Jacob & The Dazey Chain is currently in the studio putting final touches on the follow-up to his debut LP, "Don't Look Away!", with an expected Spring 2024 EP release. Killjoy is a power rock trio formed in Nashville, Tennessee. They burst onto the scene with their debut EP “I FEEL SO SAFE WITH YOU” (2022) and quickly became known for their electric live performances.
