Early Bird $20, $25 + Fees, $30 at the Door | 21+ This Halloween, we’re hitting the red carpet for the ultimate pop culture homage: Slo ‘Mo does the VMAs. Spanning four decades, the MTV VMAs are the birthplace of some of our greatest cultural touchstones, from Madonna’s infamous Like a Prayer performance in 1984 to Beyonce’s pregnancy reveal in 2011. Featuring special performances by Empress Darling Shear, Miss Angelica Grace and legendary drag performer Tenderoni, plus greatest hits and music moments spun by Icey Bby and VITIGRRL, the Slo ‘Mo VMAs is THEE queer Halloween event of the season. The show is hosted by Your Godmutha Tristen and Party Mom Kristen, and includes a special red carpet step and repeat for you to get your very own press shot. We’ll also have a walkoff for best costumes, and giving out Moonwoman awards and cash prizes to the best looks: Best Red Carpet Costume Best Live Performance Costume Best Duo/Group Don Julio is an official sponsor of the Slo ‘Mo VMAs. Slo ‘Mo offers masks for free at the box office and water stations are located in the bar and in the venue. The large patio has seating and live music amplification from the venue for anyone who prefers to spend time outside. As always, folks who are pregnant, postpartum, or have any mobility challenges that would benefit from seating can reserve a booth in the bar or wheelchair designated space in the venue by emailing [email protected] or with any other needs or questions. Please note that there will be flash photography documentation and the potential use of fog machines, incense and flashing lights.
