BONA FIDEO DUO Bona Fideo Duo formed by Lázara Diaz and Carlos Vazquez , hold graduate degrees in teaching and performance from the famed Universidad de las Artes in Havana as well as from the prestigious Alejandro Garcia Caturla Conservatory of Cuba. Lazara Diaz graduated from New Jersey City University, United States and she is the first Cuban American winner in "Marku International Guitar Competition" in Albania. Bona Fide Duo achieved the milestone of appearance as a Cuban- American guitar duo winners in the history of these competitions which are, Silver Medal in the “Global Music Awards Competition” ( Rosenberg Texas US); Platinum Medal in the “ Global International Music Competition ” (Canada); and Second Prize Contemporary Music Category in the “ Charleston International Music Competition” ( South Carolina US.). Bona Fide Duo was born from a commitment to artistic excellence and a desire to bring chamber music to all audiences. Composed of professional musicians trained to the highest standards, the duo specializes in a repertoire that travels from the gems of the Baroque and Classical periods to the vibrant rhythms of contemporary and popular music. Each performance is the result of years of study and a unique connection between the performers, always seeking tonal clarity and deep emotion.
