Hovvdy

Christian Lee Hutson and Hovvdy live at El Club, Detroit on Sat, Nov 14, 7:00 PM. Tickets from $34.77. Lineup, start time and tickets on Ckord.

Texas indie duo Hovvdy bring their warm, intimate sound and emotionally charged songwriting to the stage for a night of dreamy indie rock, slow-burning melodies, and deeply personal storytelling. Made up of Charlie Martin and Will Taylor, Hovvdy have spent the last decade becoming one of indie music’s most beloved underground acts, earning praise for their hazy blend of indie folk, bedroom pop, and rootsy Americana. Their acclaimed 2024 self-titled double album Hovvdy marked a major creative leap for the band, expanding their sound with shimmering synths, drum machines, and cinematic songwriting while keeping the raw honesty and emotional intimacy fans connect with most. The album received widespread acclaim from outlets including Pitchfork, while artists like Zach Bryan, boygenius, and beabadoobee have publicly praised the band’s music. Known for creating live shows that feel both intimate and immersive, Hovvdy turn quiet reflection into something communal and unforgettable. Don’t miss one of indie music’s most quietly powerful bands live.
