Aliza Hava is an award-winning artist/songwriter who sings truth to power. Through her artistry, Aliza invites her listeners on a profound journey of self-discovery, evoking a kaleidoscope of emotions that span the breadth of the human experience. Whether through haunting ballads that tug at heartstrings or uplifting anthems that ignite the spirit, her music is often described as a harmonious blend of poetic storytelling and soul-stirring compositions. Featured on the soundtrack of Sharon Stone’s award-winning documentary, Femme: Women Healing the World, which also features performances by Annie Lennox, Yoko Ono, and Rickie Lee Jones, Hava is a recipient of the Human Spirit Award presented by the international organization Talent for Humanity. Her story is featured in their book along with seven other internationally acclaimed artist/activists. The original recording of her song RISE can be heard on Occupy this Album: 99 Songs for the 99% alongside artists such as Ani DiFranco, Jackson Browne, and Warren Haynes. Her upcoming album, Into the Light, was recently produced by multi-platinum, Grammy winner Mikal Blue. The album features ten songs that take the listener on a transformational journey from trauma to triumph. Expected in early 2024, the tracks feature Dean Dinning of Toad the Wet Sprocket as musical arranger and on bass/keys, and Gregg Bissonette (Ringo Starr, Santana) on drums. Aliza has performed at music festivals and venues around the world and has shared bills with Dr. John, Michael Franti, Zac Brown Band, Rising Appalachia, Loreena McKennit, Jefferson Starship, and more. She has performed in the U.S., Canada, Australia, Ireland, Morocco, Jordan, Israel/Palestine, Italy, India, South Korea and at the United Nations in New York City.
