Born in London to Sudanese parents, raised in Ohio, and now calling NYC home, the former skate punk turned afro-punk maestro and veteran on indie-rock bands like Caribou, Yeasayer, and Of Montreal has spent the years since his previous release, Dépaysé, honing his skillset to unfurl a truly ambitious new album. On his recent release We Belong, his 8th studio album, Sinkane has found himself celebrating the love he has unearthed in these explorations, and Sinkane has been born anew.
