Divergent Promotions presents by arrangement with K2 Agency The Cost THE COST was formed in Valencia, Spain in 2023 when drummer El Estepario Siberiano, bassist Chris Attwell and guitarist & vocalist Peter Connolly met at their producer’s acclaimed recording studio. Chris and Peter performed in a jazz band that recorded at the studio and as El Estepario Siberiano explains he could hear them through the thin walls and was very impressed with their music and ability. He thought to himself “they have a jazzy style, but if they just added some gain to what they were doing, it could be metal”. So he asked them if they would want to give it a try and do what they do, but just add distortion. The result is the incredible Doppler Affection album. Bringing together three distinct musical backgrounds & cultures, this culmination promises to be one of the biggest sounds in music today.
