TURBO SONIDERO hails from San José California, with roots in Puebla and Mexico City. He began his work as a music producer in 2008, developing a unique style that combines cumbia sonidera and rap, thus creating a new sound. Since 2009 to date he has participated in various cumbia compilations around the world. TURBO SONIDERO has been played at impo rtant festivals in Colombia, Europe, United States and Mexico, among them: CONSCIOUS MADNESS FEST (Kreuzberg, Germany) 2022, GENERATE! FESTIVAL (Tübingen, Germany) 2019, MONKEY WEEK FEST (Sevilla, Spain) 2019 FESTIVAL CENTRO (Bogotá, Colombia) 2018, SONIDO CLASH MUSIC FEST (San Jose, USA) 2017, OAKLAND MUSIC FESTIVAL (Oakland, USA) 2015, Electronic Music Festival (Chicago, USA) 2011 and Visionary Sounds (Los Angeles, USA) 2010. He has also shared the stage with artists such as: Ana Tijoux, Los Tigres del Norte, Kumbia Queers, Toy Selectah, Ozomatli, The Stooges, Los Crudos, Chicano Batman, Prayers Chico Sonido, La Santa Cecilia, Nortec Collective, Silverio, The Latin Brothers, Mexican Institute of Sound, Etc. He is also co-founder of Kumbia Net (previously known as Kumbia Obscura) a collective of 12 producers, DJs and visual designers from all parts of the Kumbiero Cyberspace. Their goal is to promote the unique style of K.N. that combines cumbia sonidera with electronic music and rap from all over the world. Last but not least he is also founder of Discos Piramide a record label focusing on releasing Kumbia Net artists on physical media such as cassettes and vinyl records.
