Morgan Brown, Schur, Strawberry Sun, Mayor's House — live event

Beginning his career at age 9 and becoming one of ASCAPS’s youngest members by 15, singer/songwriter/producer/entrepreneur Morgan Brown is no stranger to pop music and the music industry at large. Morgan was born June 5th, 1992 in Santa Monica California. Son of marketing extraordinaire Allan Brown (Got Milk, Beanie Babies, McDonalds Happy Meal) and Kelly Brown a fashion industry veteran (The California Mart) and co-founder of celebrity spa hotspot l.a. Vie L’orange. At a very young age Morgan knew he wanted to be in the entertainment industry. Morgan was then given his first guitar by family friend Jeffery Stein an award winning music video director (Billy Idol, The Cars and Tom Petty). During his first recital he garnered attention from Burt Bacharach, who was amazed at the “incredible talent in this little kid”. By age 11, Morgan was flying to Louisiana at the request of Master P’s “Beats By The Pound” producer Carlos Stephens. Morgan began production on his record with Carlos Stephens and started to co-write songs with Stephens and his team of writers and producers. In 2005, Morgan began working with Rap/Rock group Fuyzion NDX, and started collaborating with former Method’s of Mayhem lead singer TiLo. He then was approached to be featured artist on Rock N’ Write, an educational program where major artists presented songs and lesson plans to encourage and promote reading and writing through music in public schools throughout the United States. Even though artists such as Nick Lachey and Cheyanne Kimball were on the program, Morgan’s song, “I’m Just Me,” was the most downloaded song for three consecutive months, receiving over 10,000 downloads. Later that year, Morgan began working with Ron Nevison (Heart, Ozzy Osbourne, Kiss) and Kim Bullard (Poco) on a project for the Lohan family writing a song entitled “The Promise”, which was to be the theme song for their reality show, but never aired due to family matters. Later that year, Morgan began studying with celebrity vocal coach Eric Vetro whom took Morgan to a new level of vocal ability.
