MOPOMOSO: International Free Improvised Music – October 2026 — live event on Oct 18, 2026
Mopomoso live at Vortex Jazz Club, London on Sun, Oct 18, 2:00 PM. Free entry. Lineup, start time and tickets on Ckord.
Mopomoso brings their pioneering approach to free improvisation to the Vortex Jazz Club for a two-hour afternoon performance. Founded by guitarist John Russell and pianist Chris Burn in 1991, the ensemble is renowned for spontaneous, unrehearsed explorations that dissolve the boundaries between jazz and contemporary classical music. Expect fluid, boundary-pushing soundscapes shaped entirely in the moment by the interplay of the ensemble's musicians. This is an opportunity to experience one of free improvisation's most committed and influential groups at work.
