During his time on The Dukes of Hazzard, John Schneider launched a music career, releasing his debut album Now or Never in the early ’80s. The album reached No. 8 on the US Country Billboard chart, with the Elvis Presley cover "It's Now or Never" hitting No. 4 on the Country chart and No. 14 on the Hot 100. Schneider followed with albums like Quiet Man and If You Believe, and in 1984 signed with MCA Nashville. There, he released Too Good to Stop Now, featuring his first No. 1 hits, "I've Been Around Enough to Know" and "Country Girls." His 1985 album A Memory Like You debuted at No. 1 on the Country chart and included two more No. 1 singles. He’s shared stages with legends like Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, and Waylon Jennings, performing at Farm Aid and the Grand Ole Opry, earning his status as a country music icon. After a brief acting hiatus, Schneider returned with albums like Worth the Wait, The Promise, and Home for Christmas (with Dukes co-star Tom Wopat).
