Plants Can Dance — live event
Plants Can Dance (and Mushrooms Sing) is a new monthly Sunday event series from award-winning sound artist and DJ Brian d'Souza aka Auntie Flo in collaboration with Lamine Toure from Repot Plant Shop, Hackney Wick. Each event will begin with a series of Workshops and Talks allowing audiences to understand the process, dig into the science and have a play with a variety of easy-to-use tools that create music from nature. It will be followed by a Deep Listening experience where they are encouraged to immerse themselves in the realtime audio-visual plant soundscape, leaving their phones in their pockets. It will conclude with a ‘Plant Dance’ - a social element where everyone can let loose and have some fun surrounded by a mix of plants supplied by Repot.
