Cal Tjader 100 — live event
An all-star celebration of Cal Tjader, the Latin Jazz vibesman who would have been turning 100 years old on Wednesday 16th July 2025. Callen Radcliffe Tjader Jr. was an American Latin Jazz musician who primarily recorded playing the vibraphone but was also accomplished on the drums, bongos, congas, timbales and piano. Cal Tjader started his career alongside Dave Brubeck in the late 1940's before joining George Shearing's group in the early 1950's. In 1954 he formed the Cal Tjader Modern Mambo Quintet. Exect to hear Cal Tjader classics performed live by some of the UK's finest Latin Jazz musicians. An AGMP Concerts presentation.
