Para Gozar—"for your enjoyment"—brings the timeless sounds of Cuba to life through original arrangements for an unexpected ensemble. Based in Asheville, North Carolina, the group explores the romance of boleros, the infectious rhythms of son and salsa, the storytelling of trova, and the danceable energy of cumbia through a unique combination of electric mandolin, guitar, bass, and virtuosic multi-instrument percussion. Rather than simply recreating familiar recordings, Para Gozar reimagines the music for its own distinctive sound, weaving intricate string arrangements with rich vocal harmonies and dynamic percussion. The result is music that feels both deeply rooted in Cuban tradition and unmistakably original—equally suited for dancing, listening, and celebrating.
